Ottawa, ON – Melissa Lantsman, Member of Parliament for Thornhill, and Marty Morantz, Member of Parliament for Charleswood—St. James—Assiniboia—Headingley, issued the following statement calling on Justin Trudeau to denounce Amnesty International’s assault on Israel:
“Last week, Amnesty International, an organization with a longstanding history of singling out Israel released a report accusing the Jewish state of “apartheid”.'
"The Amnesty International report is openly antisemitic and recycles already debunked propaganda singling out Israel with provably false and dangerous narratives.
“This government cannot continue to call out antisemitism only when it's convenient. Canada’s Conservatives are calling on Justin Trudeau to do the right thing, join our allies like the US and Germany and denounce this report immediately.
"Unlike the Trudeau Liberals, Conservatives will always stand with the people of Israel, and the democratically-elected Israeli government that we are proud to call our friend and ally.”

Ottawa (Ontario) – Melissa Lantsman, députée de Thornhill, et Marty Morantz, député de Charleswood—St. James—Assiniboia—Headingley, ont fait la déclaration suivante, pressant Justin Trudeau de dénoncer l’attaque d’Amnistie internationale contre Israël :
« La semaine dernière, une organisation qui critique Israël depuis longtemps a présenté un rapport accusant l’État juif de tenir une politique « d’apartheid ».
« Le rapport d’Amnistie internationale est ouvertement antisémite et reprend une propagande déjà discréditée contre Israël avec des propos clairement faux et dangereux.
« Ce gouvernement ne peut pas continuer à dénoncer l’antisémitisme uniquement quand ça lui convient. Les conservateurs du Canada pressent Justin Trudeau d’agir comme il se doit, de se joindre à nos alliés comme les États-Unis et l’Allemagne et de dénoncer immédiatement ce rapport.
« Contrairement aux libéraux de Trudeau, les conservateurs vont toujours défendre la population d’Israël et son gouvernement démocratiquement élu que nous sommes fiers de qualifier d’amis et d’alliés. »
