Dear Constituents, an update from my office:
Remembrance Day
On the eleventh hour, of the eleventh day, of the eleventh month, Canadians pause to remember the brave men and women who have paid the ultimate sacrifice while serving in the Canadian Armed Forces. This Friday, November 11, is Remembrance Day and I encourage you and your family to attend the ceremony at your local cenotaph. Lest we forget.
I also encourage you to check out this video from Veterans’ Affairs Canada, as well as my Remembrance Day message.
Normally, I attend the ceremony at the Royal Canadian Legion in Mission, however I am committed to joining other communities in our riding to honour our Veterans. That is why this year, I will be attending the ceremony at the Cenotaph in Agassiz. I hope to see many of you there!

In the House
Last Thursday, the Finance Minister tabled the Fall Economic Statement (FES). For weeks, my Conservative colleagues and I called on the government to rein in spending, cancel their planned tax hikes and bring inflation back under control. Instead, this fiscal update delivered more spending, more taxes and higher inflation.
Pierre Poilievre, leader of His Majesty’s Opposition, gave a speech in reply to the finance minister highlighting the key failings of the FES. I encourage you to check it out here.
If you haven’t seen it already, I’d also encourage you to check out my recent video on the government’s plan to increase EI premiums.
Finally, I’ve included my most recent clips from the House of Commons below.
Language Committee – French education in BC
Question Period – Payroll tax hikes
Petition – Alaskan salmon fisheries
Question Period – Repeat offenders
Hearing From You
In my last email, I asked for your thoughts on the state of small business in our region. Thank you to everyone who took the time to share your feedback. In all, 46 people responded to this survey. It is clear from the responses that small businesses in our riding are facing unprecedented challenges right now. You can find the full results of this survey here.
